一眼認出
長枝和短枝同時發達，花生於短枝（結果枝）上。
外觀
- 葉
- 葉的大小和形狀變異很大，葉背有毛或無毛。
- 花
- 白色帶淡粉色的五瓣花4~6朵簇生。中央的花先開。
- 果實
- 大而圓、堅實的果實，表面常有蠟層。顏色、味道和成熟期因品種而異。
- 樹皮
- 灰色樹皮，皮孔隆起。
生長環境
- 原產地
- 從中亞到阿富汗的地區。
- 生態
- 需冷量因品種而異，多數品種在有花期重疊的其他品種或物種的花粉時產量較好。
