極粗的樹幹、聚生於枝端的掌狀複葉和下垂的大型白花為其特徵。
外觀

- 掌狀複葉，通常有5~7枚小葉集生於一點。

- 大型白花在長花梗末端下垂，有五枚花瓣和許多雄蕊。
- 果實
- 果實內粉狀果肉中有深褐色小種子。
- 樹皮
- 粗大樹幹的樹皮光滑。

- 在韓國
- 栽植（大田樹木園）
- 原產地
- 熱帶和南部非洲；阿拉伯半島南部
- 生態
- 為蝙蝠的食物，有動物傳粉的記載。
