見分けポイント
成木では樹冠が平らで広くなり、水平に広がる枝の上に樽形の球果が立つ。
見た目
- 葉
- 濃い緑色の硬い針葉が数本ずつ集まってつく。
- 花
- 花の代わりに上向きに立つ球果をつくる。
- 実
- 雌球果は上向きに立ち、先が平らかややくぼむ。成熟した球果から種子が落ちる。
- 樹皮
- 暗灰色の樹皮に割れ目がある。
生える場所
- 自生地
- トルコ南部からシリア・レバノンに至る地域
- 生態
- 若いころの成長が遅く、球果をリスが利用する。
