見た目

- ふつう小葉5〜7枚が1点に集まってつく掌状複葉。
- 花
- 大きな白い花が長い花柄の先に垂れ下がり、花弁5枚と多数の雄しべがある。
- 実
- 果実の中の粉のような果肉に、小さな暗褐色の種子が入っている。
- 樹皮
- 太い幹の樹皮はなめらか。

- 自生地
- 熱帯・南部アフリカ、アラビア半島南部
- 生態
- コウモリの餌となり、動物による受粉が記録されている。
